polyester is a synthetic fibre, and perhaps the most used fibers in the fashion industry. it is versatile and easy to care for, it doesn’t wrinkle, and it keeps its shape.

but virgin polyester is made from chemically treated crude oil and is essentially a woven form of plastic – not so fantastic.

recycled polyester, however, is made from plastic waste, such as used plastic bottles, other types of waste, or preloved polyester clothes. it can also be made of recycled cut offs and scraps from production. to us, it just makes sense to make use of already existing resources and limit waste.
